De Backer House Construction has its own, ultramodern machinery. From the design and the production drawings to the sawing, planing or turning of each beam, everything is computer controlled.

In addition, our years of experience and know-how have led to the development of a unique wall beam section (double or triple mortise).

The wall beams are ultrasmooth as the result of using the very latest planing techniques and, in addition, are treated in our impregnation station so that each piece of timber receives long-lasting, penetrating protection. Both this impregnation station and the unique process are recognised by the Belgian Union for technical approval in the construction industry (BUtgb, under nr. ATG S182 and ATG 1832).

Treating timber by means of impregnation is generally accepted as the best way to preserve it. Specialised bodies such as S.O.F.S.A.N, W.T.C.B. and the Dutch S.K.H. advocate this method.
