The standard foundations built by De Backer have an 80 cm high crawl space.
Using this construction we are able to build foundations on almost all normal ground.
If the building site is suitable, you can opt for a cheaper version using concrete slabs (minimum 15 cm thick). In most cases test boring is required to establish whether this version is adequate.
Some points worth noting:
- The foundations are built from concrete blocks laid on concrete ring beams,
on which the hollow-core slabs are placed
- A stone plinth course is laid under all timber walls
- We provide foundations that include sewage piping and drains
- We ensure that the floor level of your house is sufficiently high enough above street level.
(this has both technical and aesthetic benefits)
- The storm drains are kept in the crawl space as much as possible
so that they are not located round the house
- Using our PU floor insulation, the crawl space
is completely sealed (a necessity).
